First Snowfall

My inspiration for 'First Snowfall' came from an art trip to Colorado.  I painted it outdoors, plein air.  I loved the fact that it happened between seasons so that I could capture the best of both worlds--the warm autumn colors that were still lingering in the woods in the background and the cool winter colors from the snow and water from the creek in the foreground.
