Dona LeCrone Walston

Dona is a watermedia fine art artist, and president of the San Antonio Art League and Museum

Dona is the current president of the San Antonio Art League and Museum, located in the King William neighborhood. She has spent over 40 years working as an artist in watercolor, acrylic, collage and fused glass — her specialty being watercolor.

Always an active member of the art community, she spent six years teaching art and over 22 years volunteering in leadership positions in various art societies, including SAALM and Texas Watercolor Society, Her award-winning work has been exhibited throughout Texas and the southwest.

Dona says this about her work:

“I am drawn to organic shapes and swirling movement. I work from my own photos on watercolor paper and canvas in watercolor paints, acrylics and collage. The great joy of my ‘job’ is the process of creating a work of art. This love of the process challenges me to learn and experiment."
